  • June 19, 2012: There was no rainfall the day prior to this sample being collected. There was a moderate amount of coliform found and an average count of 300 for E.Coli (cfu/100mL).

  • June 26, 2012: There was no rainfall the day prior to this sample being collected. There was a moderate-to-low amount of coliform found and an average count of 366.67 for E.Coli (cfu/100mL).

The much higher level of coliform and E.Coli found on the first sample suggests that bacterial counts significantly spike after a rainfall event. This is likely due to polluted runoff coming from the surrounding urban environment.
